Maintenance or management of change (MOC) projects are typically driven by a change in operating conditions in the field. This could be increased flow rates, change of substance, worn out equipment or a number of other changes that can occur on a day-to-day basis. Obsidian understands that these issues are often time sensitive and need to be resolved as quickly as possible to ensure our client can continue to operate safely and effectively. PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
PROJECT: CYCLONE SEPARATOR ADDITION
TIC: $1.1MM
Installation of a cyclone separator into an existing CO2 enhanced oil recovery facility to increase the compressor longevity through particulate removal.
PROJECT: BOOSTER COMPRESSOR INSTALLATION
TIC: $400K
Addition of a booster compressor at an existing multi-well oil battery. Extra compression required upstream of the existing sales compressor due to changing production parameters.
PROJECT: TURBINE GENERATOR MAINTENANCE
TIC: $200K
Troubleshooting and repair coordination of an existing 5 MW turbine generator. Facility also required electrical, instrumentation and a nd controls support. This included pressure relief valve upgrades, improved fuel gas controls and updating the automation program.
