OVER 1 MILLION HP OF INSTALLED COMPRESSION
PROFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL
Obsidian facility designs are critically reviewed in many operating conditions as part of the project scoping phase. Project timelines are typically driven by the sourcing of major equipment. With increased focus on project economics and rate of return, the used-equipment market has become a more prominent resource. Our engineering and procurement staff have a proven track record of sour suitable equipment at favorable costs and lead times to meet the project demands.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
PROJECT: KARR SOUTH OIL BATTERY
TIC: $40MM
A greenfield battery that included natural gas compression (50 MMscfd), oil storage/distribution (8,000 bbl/d) and water injection (21,000 bbl/d). The major pieces of equipment that were installed: 3800HP of engine-driven reciprocating compression, 3-phase inlet separator, power generation, gas dehydration package, oil treater, LACT, 30,000 bbl of fluid storage, water injection (centrifugal and reciprocating pumps), VRU and flare system.
PROJECT: MARTEN HILLS OIL BATTERY
TIC: $20MM
This 16,000 bbl/d green-field oil battery project included inlet separation, sales compression, dehydration, heat exchangers, oil treating, tank treating, tank storage, skim/recycle system, oil/condensate blending, water injection, vapour recovery, HP flare, power generation and a truck-load/offload system. Obsidian completed this project on a low-cost basis by sourcing and procuring refurbished equipment.
PROJECT: EDSON GAS PLANT
TIC: $60MM
An expansion project that included a de-ethanizer, stabilizer, lean oil absorber, 3000HP refrigeration compression (20 MMscfd) and a steam heating system.
PROJECT: SIMONETTE REFRIGERATION EXPANSION
TIC: $55MM
Brownfield plant expansion primarily included a new refrigeration package and a utility heat package, liquid gas processing (treater/dehydrator), and pump capabilities (2,500 bbl/d). The scope also included facility optimization and piping modifications to allow for oil treating, storage, and a LACT addition for further handling downstream.
PROJECT: ROCK CREEK FACILITY EXPANSION
TIC: $6MM
An expansion of an existing facility to add sales gas compression each project included 100 MMscfd compression, separation, propane refrigeration, condensate stabilization, NGL storage and utility systems.
